Converter is a key element for an integrated steel making plant and the lining will strongly affect the grade of steel and productivities of a steel shop. Through proper zoning of a converter lining, we can provide most economical solutions for converter shops to achieve their economical goal. We will line converter slag lines with most corrosive-resistant MgC brick, impact area with mechanically strong brick, the trunnion area with mechanically flexible brick and cone and bottom with most economical MgC brick. By zoning the converter, we can achieve uniform wears of the converter lining and extended brick service life. Most common brick used in our converter lining are listed as followings:
